Dr. Octavia Garcia, DNP, FNP-C
I built this practice because I needed it to exist.
I am a Doctor of Nursing Practice, a Family Nurse Practitioner, a childhood trauma survivor, and living proof that the body heals when you treat the whole person — not just the diagnosis.
For years, I watched conventional medicine do what it was designed to do: identify problems and prescribe solutions. But for patients carrying decades of unresolved pain in their bodies — the standard system was missing the story beneath the symptom.
I was diagnosed with lupus, depression, and anxiety. On paper, three separate conditions. But I knew they were speaking the same language — the language of an unhealed childhood, of a nervous system in survival mode.
So I started the real work. I brought my lupus to stable condition through lifestyle medicine. I manage my mental health through intentional daily practice. I am not cured. I am healing — which is more honest and more powerful.
